Heidi lives in a small mountain village, well looked after by her grandfather.
One day, her aunt Grete arrives from Munich to give her a "better education". But Heidi is perfectly happy with her friend Ziegen-Willi in the beautiful Bavarian mountains. Things are lively and frivolous in this village. The farmhand shows the maid where Bartl fetches the cider and the postman can do more than just lick postage stamps.
However, her aunt and grandfather decide to send Heidi to the city. Of course she doesn't want to leave at first, but eventually she sets off on her journey.
